Several years ago my husband gave me a really awesome camera. A Nikon D90. I have no idea how to use this thing but on Auto it takes great pictures, or if the conditions are just perfect for whatever settings came in from factory. While living in Guantanamo Bay I found that I had the perfect canvas for perfect pictures. I also discovered that not all settings work to capture exactly what yo see in the right colors, lighting, speed etc… so I started asking friends who seem to know what they were doing with a camera and they gave me some pointers. The most valuable pointer was "I don't ever want to see your camera on AUTO… EVER!" Thanks
Mad Kat, you forced me to learn to use those other buttons on my camera. I will soon be taking a 5 week course because reading the manual is just not working for me.
Now I own a bigger lens, have some filters coming my way and a tripod because, again,
Mad Kat yelled at me to get one… ok ok, got it, it's on it's way.
So here's my blog with my pictures and I will start with the
365 click it up a notch event. I'm already a few days late so I will post 3 pictures to catch up and then one every day… Oh my it's going to be challenging but I will make it happen.
Hopefully I will learn a few more things about my camera, the photoshop program, and just capturing images I love.
It's a learning process… let's shoot!!
